This 4-week course will focus on the cultural curiosities of life in Germany. There's more to the country than beer and bratwurst, more than castles and cuckoo clocks.  We'll skim over some history, then look at things Germans do that might seem odd - or charmingly unique - to Americans. We'll talk about 'no trial by jury', burial customs, baby naming laws, the school system, driving on the Autobahn, the 'quiet' laws, dining do's and don't's, wedding customs, and more. As James Michener said:  "If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion, and avoid the people, you might better stay home." If you don't want to stay home, then come learn about Life in Germany with us.

This class begins April 13 and runs through May 4. It is a 4-week class.
