Exercise and Fitness   

You must be signed in and a current annual member in order to have access to register for any of our courses or clubs. Many of our social and special events are open for non-members, but all courses have member-only access. Scholarships for class fees are available for students once they join as an annual member.   • EZ Does It Chair Yoga Part 2

    This class is open those who have previously practiced yoga or participated in a series of chair yoga classes. Relax your body and improve your physical and mental health with easy yoga stretches & poses. Connecting movement with breath will improve your posture, strength, flexibility, balance, and range of motion. Students should wear comfortable clothing that will allow movement without restrictions. Athletic shoes or walking shoes are suggested.

    This class is an introduction to chair yoga and is open to all ages and levels. Relax your body and improve your physical and mental health with easy yoga stretches. Connecting movement with breath will improve your posture, strength, flexibility, balance, and range of motion. This class is open to all ages and levels! Students should wear comfortable clothing that will allow movement without restrictions. Athletic shoes or walking shoes are suggested.

    This is a 4-week, 45-minute class.

  • Mind, Muscle and Moves!

    Mind, Muscle, Moves! is a class specifically designed to help alleviate symptoms associated with Parkinson's Disease through forced intensity. The class consists of a warm-up, shadow boxing, exercises on the bag, balance, and extension through various movement patterns. At the end of class, we challenge our fine motor skills through activities that mimic acts of daily living. It's a great work out and we have so much fun! You may want to bring your own pair of boxing gloves. Please be sure to wear appropriate athletic shoes and attire.

    NOTE: This class is not available for Summit Hills Residents. If you are an SH Resident contact the Wellness Director for resident class schedules.

    Qigong for Health is an interactive class that will teach you the foundational principles of qigong. You'll learn about the history and benefits of qigong, and have the opportunity to practice and participate in learning qigong moves and breathing techniques. Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that has been used for centuries to promote health and vitality. Qigong for Health is a great way to learn about this beneficial practice and to improve your overall health. This class requires full-body movement, loose fitting clothing is recommended.

    SPLASH is a 60-minute water exercise class that includes a total body workout! We start with aqua aerobics, then we progress into strength training with weights and we finish with core strengthening exercises! We have the music going and we share a lot of laughs along the way! We know how to have a good time while getting out heart rates up and getting in a great workout! Our pool is heated to 93 degrees and is salt water-based to help alleviate joint pain. Please join us for some aqua fun!
