Strictly Ballroom? Not necessarily! Come join us for guided instruction in popular and fun dance forms. We will start with building a mind-body awareness, incorporating safety in partner-work, and then advance to the fundamentals of connection, frame, balance, and footwork. By class's end, you'll have earned the confidence to celebrate on the dance floor at weddings, wineries, or even in your own living room! All skill levels may join, and all are welcome to learn leading and/or following. No partner necessary!
This quarter, we will learn Bachata, Nightclub Two Step, and Salsa.
Wear comfortable clothing, including shoes that are both clean and suitable for dancing. (Nothing that grips the floor too much, like sneakers or work boots, and nothing that could damage the floor, like high and/or pointed heels.) Bare socks will work, but are less ideal.

Tarot cards have a history of use not just in divination, but also in therapy sessions. The cards possess a rich folklore which has been mined extensively for art, literature, and film. The traditional Tarot deck is 78 cards, each with unique images intended to evoke meaning in the mind of the reader. Some of the meanings attributed to the cards are passed down orally and in books, but some meanings are specific to each reader and each deck. In this class, students will learn how to interpret the meanings embedded in each card and in the relationships between cards in a reading. Students will practice reading for themselves and for others in the class.
