- Cooking with EFNEP Series (Bilingual)

The Cooking with EFNEP (Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program) series offers a hands-on cooking experience with healthy recipes, activities, food safety, knife skills and MyPlate nutrition education. The educational series consists of 4 lessons, each lesson lasting 2 hours and participants will receive educational enhancement items to reinforce the topic of the day. Information taught is developed from evidence-based research provided by TX A&M AgriLife Extension staff at no cost. This is a good way to increase your knowledge and skills and develop healthy habits for yourself and your family. Those who complete the 4-lesson series will receive a Certificate of Achievement with their name from TX A&M AgriLife Extension.

La serie Cocinando con EFNEP (Programa Ampliado de Educación Alimentaria y Nutricional) ofrece una experiencia práctica de cocina con recetas saludables, actividades como seguridad alimentaria, habilidades con el cuchillo, gestión de recursos alimentarios, actividad física, educación nutricional basada en MiPlato. Son 4 lecciones, cada lección dura 2 horas y los participantes reciben elementos de mejora educativa relacionados con el tema del día, que se llevaran a casa, La información se desarrolla a través de investigaciones basadas evidencia y es proporcionada por TX A&M AgriLife Extension sin costo. Los participantes aumentan su conocimiento y desarrollan hábitos saludables para usted y su familia. También recibirán un certificado de atendencia (4 clases).

Let's take a stress break and learn beginning yoga for relaxation and improved strength, balance, and flexibility. Some intermediate poses will also be taught so that previous students of yoga can continue progressing. Individuals who need some modifications in their routine due to physical limitations are welcome too. Bring a hand towel and a yoga mat to class.
No class on March 10 (Spring Break).

Come join us while we combine upbeat cardiovascular conditioning with strength training & feel-good stretching. Come improve your overall fitness & break away from the day to do something fun that leaves you energized! All fitness levels are invited including those needing chair fitness assistance & no special skills are required. Just bring some light dumbbells, yoga matt, towel, and your desire to get fit, and have fun!

Some intermediate poses will also be taught so that previous students of yoga and Pilates can continue progressing. Individuals who need some modifications in their routine due to physical limitations are welcomed, too. Bring a hand towel and a yoga mat and join us for this fusion class of yoga and Pilates.
