WHO WE ARE
"We" are the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Sierra College. We are a unique learning community for lifelong learners, age 50 and up, who are eager to explore traditional and new areas of knowledge - without the stress of tests or grades!
We offer a wide variety of courses in art, fitness, history, humanities, music, science, and wellness. All designed to keep minds and bodies active. To fit your busy lifestyle, OLLI classes meet for just one class meeting or once a week for two-, four- or six-weeks. We offer classes in-person and online via Zoom. Every adult learner is welcome regardless of previous college experience.
We do require a membership in OLLI at Sierra College to participate in the full range of offerings, but we definitely feel you get what – and more than – you pay for!
Join us now and become part of the "we"; the we who strive to maintain quality of life...today and in the future.
The Bernard Osher Foundation
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) was founded and is supported by the The Bernard Osher Foundation, headquartered in San Francisco.
Bernard Osher and his family are philanthropists who have a strong commitment to the arts and education.
The Osher Foundation founded its first Lifelong Learning Institutes in 2001. OLLI at Sierra College became part of the institute in 2004.
There are 125 Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes (OLLIs) spanning all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Each is a part of a college or university. OLLI at Sierra College is one of only four community colleges nationally to receive a grant from The Bernard Osher Foundation. Our OLLI support comes from the Bernard Osher Foundation, Sierra College, membership fees, class fees, and donations.
