A hands-on movement and manual techniques class with a short lecture. Lisa will show you how to flirt with your feet! Performed often and over time, the simple but profound movements and techniques you'll learn may improve not only the health of your feet but also the entire line of fascia that extends from the foot upward and over your head. In the class, plan to remove your shoes and work directly with the fascia of your feet. During the short lecture, we'll talk about walking and the foot's role in motion, trends in barefoot movement and wearing minimalist shoes, and how a greater connection to your feet may improve your balance.

This course explores one profound idea: that love is the foundation of everything we seek—happiness, success, meaning, and fulfillment. Whether our goals are personal or professional, emotional or material, love is the key that unlocks them. Through philosophy, psychological research, and real-world stories from Mason Scurry’s work as a love researcher, we’ll examine how love functions not only as a feeling, but also as a way of living and leading—a mindset that shapes how we see ourselves, others, and the world. Students will explore how living in and with love can transform relationships, expand creativity, build wealth, and deepen inner peace. This is not a sentimental study, but a rigorous inquiry into the most powerful force in human life—and how understanding it can change everything.

The Medicare presentation provides a clear overview of Original Medicare, along with an explanation of your rights, available options, and associated costs. The Long-Term Care presentation addresses the importance of planning for future care needs including both medical and non-medical support for individuals with chronic illnesses or disabilities—particularly assistance with everyday tasks, also known as “activities of daily living.”

Naomi Klein’s international best-selling books include No Logo, The Shock Doctrine, This Changes Everything, Doppelgänger, and No Is Not Enough. Although I consider Klein to be one of the most important writers and thinkers of our time, not only most Americans, but also most of my OLLI students are unfamiliar with this brilliant, prophetic witness. This discussion course is for fans of Klein and those previously unaware of her work. There is no required text for the class, but I especially recommend Klein’s 2017 book No Is Not Enough. I will also be recommending various online resources.
